TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW FOR 2011 ADIDAS GRAND PRIX

The star-studded event on Saturday, June 11, will be the sixth stop on the Samsung Diamond League circuit


NEW YORK — Ticket sales for the 2011 adidas Grand Prix on Saturday, June 11, opened Wednesday, event organizers announced today. One of the nation’s premier outdoor track & field invitational meets, the star-studded event at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island will be the sixth stop on the international Samsung Diamond League circuit.

Fans can purchase tickets at www.adidasgrandprix.com or by calling 1-877-TIX-TRAC. The adidas Grand Prix, in its seventh year, features Olympic stars from around the world, the Jim Ryun High School Dream Mile for top high school athletes and the Mayor’s Cup Fastest Kid competition for youth in the tristate area.

Event organizers also unveiled the official event poster on Monday featuring adidas ambassadors Tyson Gay and Jenn Suhr of the United States, Croatian high jumper Blanca Vlasic and World Champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis from the United Kingdom. Official professional athlete announcements will begin later in March.
