It was billed as Saving The Best For Last, [with the launch held on the last day of Reggae Month] and
maybe only time will tell after reading the saga the First Lady has penned – LOVE TRIANGLE – but one thing is sure, D’Angel’s book launch was a stellar affair – intimate as planned.

NO – there wasn’t any surprise appearances from D’Angel’s distant or even recent past, but forgetting
absentees; one thing was certain, there was little fanfare missing, and the media was out in full effect
to capture the moment.

The cameras [many in number] caught the casual mingling and congratulatory smiles from the likes of Professor Carolyn Cooper, Dr.Donna Hope, popular media personality; Milk and Dancehall Artiste G-Whizz.

According to D’Angel, “Love Triangle is merely an effort at diversifying on her creativity as an Artiste,
and setting the platform for her tell all story.”

D’Angel was fashionably late, but she was all smiles, hesitating none as she posed for the cameras, signed
books for fans and mingled with well-wishers.

Those who were unable to make it out to the launch will be able to catch D’Angel at any one of the already
scheduled book signings, set to start with her home town of Spanish Town as soon as she returns from
Washington, DC next week, where she is scheduled to perform alongside ex beau, Beenie Man and Dancehall Queen, Lady Saw.

“There are great expectations for LOVE TRIANGLE,” states Pageturner’s Karl Larmond, publishers of D’Angel’s debut literary effort.

“She is who she is,” he continues, “and there is major interest, already we are receiving emails
inquiring about signings in New York and New Jersey, where there is an vast first lady following, but
they will have to wait until summer, “ declares Larmond, “right now we are about the work the local circuit before we venture abroad, but when we do, best believe we will be covering all bases, including the tri-state, with plans to head to Canada later this year, so it’s poised to be a very interesting project.”

Prince Harry, the younger brother of Prince William, whose father, Prince Charles is heir to the throne, is to visit the Bahamas, Belize and Jamaica as other members of the Royal Family fan out to 15 Commonwealth realms to represent the Queen as part of international celebrations commemorating her Diamond Jubilee.

The Prime Minister’s Office said it viewed the prince’s visit as being “of value to Jamaica”, highlighting tourism developments on the north coast and Falmouth, the capital of the northwestern parish of Trelawny, where a 180-million-US-dollar cruise port opened last year.

The visit will also show “important work” in the area of Jamaica’s youth and children, the statement added.

During his March 5-8 visit, Prince Harry, a captain in the Royal Air Force, is to join fellow officers at the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Up Park Camp for military exercises, and co-pilot a JDF helicopter to Trelawny.

In Falmouth, the Prince will stop at the William Knibb Baptist Church to pay respects at a memorial to free Jamaicans in honour of the English emancipator and Baptist minister, William Knibb.

Prince Harry will later be treated to a showcase of Jamaican culture and cuisine at a reception at the Sandals Royal Caribbean Hotel in Montego Bay, the government statement said.

While in Kingston, the prince is expect to tour the Bustamante Hospital for Children and the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, then visit the University of the West Indies at Monday to watch a training session at the Usain Bolt Track and attend a moot debate by law students.

Also in the Jamaican capital, he will visit an inner-city charity, RISE Life, the government said.

The Queen’s representative in Jamaica, Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen will host a dinner at King’s House in honour of Prince Harry, at which the prince is expected to deliver a speech honouring Jamaica’s 50th anniversary as an independent nation, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. (CMC)

This was stated by Japan’s Ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency Hiroshi Yamaguchi, during his presentation at the recently held investment forum staged by Mayberry Investments in Kingston.

The Ambassador stated that the interest was demonstrated as recently as November last year during a Japanese trade mission to the island.

“Probably for the first time in our nearly 50-year bilateral history, executives from big giants like Marubeni, Hitachi and Fujitsu, in addition to officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, received presentations from JAMPRO and toured prospective investment sites across Jamaica,” the Ambassador stated.

He noted that already, a number of Japanese businesses had significant investments in Jamaica including Ueshima Coffee Company (UCC), the largest marketer of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee in Japan, and Marubeni Corporation, which currently owns 80 per cent stake in Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS).

Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Anthony Hylton, who also addressed the investment forum, emphasised Jamaica’s strengths as an investment location, which include a large English-speaking population; competitive wages; developed infrastructure; and the country’s proximity to the United States (US) and the Panama Canal.

The Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to tackling major issues such as crime, corruption, taxation and high cost of electricity, which negatively impact inflows of foreign direct investments.

NEW YORK (Feb. 29, 2012)—World Champion Yohan Blake of Jamaica, ranked No. 1 in the world at 100 meters, kicks off a scintillating lineup of superstars expected at the 2012 adidas Grand Prix in a preview of the action later this summer in London.

Just 22, Blake joins a long list of sprint champions who have thrilled fans at the adidas Grand Prix in the past, including Maurice Greene, Tyson Gay, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Allyson Felix and, of course, Usain Bolt, who in 2008 set his first 100-meter World Record here to kick off his history-making Olympic campaign.

“The Gibson Relays last weekend were a great start for my 2012 season,” said Blake, of the event at National Stadium in Kingston on Feb. 25 in which he came from behind to anchor his 4×400-meter and 4×100-meter teams to victory. “I am already looking forward to that fast track in New York City on June 9th.”

Last summer in Daegu, South Korea, Blake became the youngest 100-meter gold medalist at the World Championships since it began in 1983. “I would like to be a legend,” he said before capping off his historic week by running the third leg and handing off to his training partner, Bolt, on the 4×100-meter relay team that broke its own World Record.
This is not the first time Blake has competed at the adidas Grand Prix. The youngster made his debut here way back in 2007 when he anchored his St. Jago team to victory in the boys’ 4×400-meter high school relay, and competed over 100 meters in 2009 and 2010.

The eighth-annual adidas Grand Prix, one of the premier track-and-field events in the world, is the sixth stop on the international Samsung Diamond League circuit, and the third stop on the Visa Championship Series. It will begin at 1 p.m. on June 9 at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island.
